The Birth of Asamus

This painting reflects a nightmare I had that subconsciously expressed a deep fear of getting pregnant. During the dream I gave birth to a baby alien a symbol of potential chaos; however, once I began the process I became fond of it. I named the demonic baby Asamus, and I invented scenarios surround it. Through the narratives I uncovered humorous ways to confront what scares me the most about raising a child.
